Plymouth and District Funeral Services are a "full service funeral directors" meaning that in addition to our main duties of arranging a burial or a cremation we also arrange all other aspects of the funeral.

Our fleet includes traditional hearse, limousine, private ambulance, executive 4x4 and a Harley Davidson.
In addition to our own fleet, we have access to a range of other funeral vehicles to make the funeral even more personal. These include horse-drawn hearses and a horse-drawn mourners’ carriage, motorcycle side-car hearses, a Morris Minor hearse, or a fleet of land rover or Volkswagen camper vans adapted for use on funerals.
Funeral flowers are an important addition to the day. Whether you choose a bespoke flower arrangement, a single floral tribute for the coffin, individual pieces from family members, or from our wide range of funeral flower arrangements; we are here to help.
Cheryl or one of our Funeral Arrangers will discuss your preferences for the giving of flowers or donations by those outside of the main family. There are a number of options, we will discuss this with you at the appropriate moment.
The coffin or casket chosen by the family is the focal point of the funeral service and can play a part in telling the story of the deceased’s life and personality.
We have coffins made from solid timbers, wood veneer coffins and eco coffin options, such as willow, bamboo or wool. We know choosing a coffin is very personal so we offer a diverse range of options to choose from, to ensure you find exactly what you are looking for.
Every funeral is personal and individual to the person whose life it reflects. Sometimes however, it is possible to incorporate details into the funeral arrangements which signify the things that brought them pleasure.
Alternatively the Colourful Coffin range of picture coffins can be custom designed, and can even include family photographs. Those attending the funeral can also play their part, asking everyone to wear a particular colour, a flower, or their favourite football shirt can make everyone feel part of the moment.
Plymouth and District Funeral Services will book the crematorium or cemetery, and the celebrant. We will organise the insertion of newspaper notices and acknowledgements, the receipt and care of floral tributes, and the receipt and listing of charitable donations.
